Our team can't thank you enough for your practical and inspiring presentation last night in Christchurch. You have sent us away with new ideas to trial immediately, as well as oral language resources to share with other members of our team that couldn't make the course.
All schools are noticing a drop off in oracy skills as NE start school, so your course was perfect. The good news is that as teachers, we are doing something about it- thanks to you.

We have worked with Del and the TalKit programme during 2013. The biggest difference for us is that teachers now teach oral language instead of thinking it is happening every now and again or at formal speech presentation time. We know what our children need, their strengths and weaknesses and teachers have a great resource to help them to be confident speakers in a range of situations.

This is our second year of having Del and the Talkit programme at Kings. The biggest impact is that teachers now have an oral language lens to certain activities and a toolkit of practical ways of developing oral language.

“The first training day of the TalKit Programme really got our team on board and excited about the focus on oral language. Del’s presenting engaged staff, building their confidence and showing them existing connections to learning. Our staff left motivated and prepared to initiate and integrate quality oral language into their classroom programmes. Our students oral language is already improving and our teachers are even more excited. ”
